Stephen Mumford e Rani Lill Anjum em Lisboa

A convite do Centro de Filosofia das Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa, Stephen Mumford e Rani Lill Anjum farão as seguintes conferências no próximo dia 12, quinta-feira, na Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa, sala 8.2.10.:

11h - "Powers, Causation and Probability"
15h - "Metaphysics, Logic and Science".



Stephen Mumford is Professor of Metaphysics and Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Nottingham and Professor II at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (UMB). He is the author of Dispositions (Oxford 1998), Laws in Nature (Routledge 2004),David Armstrong (Acumen, 2007), Watching Sport (Routledge 2011), and co-author of Getting Causes From Powers (Oxford 2011) and Metaphysics - A very short introduction (Oxford, 2012), Causation – A very short introduction (Oxford 2013).

Rani Lill Anjum is Researcher of Philosophy and Director of the 4 year research project CauSci – Causation in Science – funded by the Research Council of Norway and hosted by the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (UMB). She is the co-author of Getting Causes from Powers (Oxford 2011) and Causation – A very short introduction (Oxford 2013).
